What is a solar inverter and what is it used for?

There are different types of solar inverters according to the type of installation and different voltages. Among the investors in isolated facilities, we differentiate:
Pure sine wave solar inverters
The pure sine wave solar inverter is the inverter that generates electric power of the same quality as the electric network. They are the most recommended for generating the highest quality energy and similar to that generated by the electrical network.
Modified wave solar inverters
They are the least recommended for solar installations, the modified wave solar inverter imitates the current of the electrical network, but modifying it by means of diodes, generating a wave of square shape. Every day is less and less recommended installation in photovoltaic installations because they can generate faults if not configured correctly.
Charging inverters
In addition to converting the direct current into alternating current, the charger inverter fulfills the function of regulating the charge of the batteries, that is, the inverter has a built-in regulator for charging the batteries.
