Deye hybrid inverters feature a smart load or backup function, allowing them to operate off-grid with just the battery. They also help maximize system efficiency by combining solar panels, batteries, and the grid, minimizing energy drawn from the grid and only exporting excess energy when the batteries are fully charged, and there is no household consumption.
- Off-grid mode (Installations without grid connection)
Deye hybrid inverters are ideal for homes without a grid connection, thanks to their integrated backup system and compatibility with most 48V batteries on the market. They also support energy storage from a diesel generator.
- Backup mode
Ideal for homes with an unstable grid or areas where outages are frequent and prolonged. The hybrid inverter keeps the batteries charged while the grid is available. When the grid fails, the inverter supplies energy directly from the solar panels and battery.
- Self-consumption mode
The standard operating mode for grid-connected homes. During daylight hours, the home uses energy from the solar panels. Any excess production can be stored in the battery or exported to the grid. If the home's demand exceeds solar production, energy is first taken from the battery, and if needed, from the grid.
- Surplus export mode
This Deye inverter is designed for grid injection, allowing users to sell their solar energy surplus to their electricity retailer.
